This is the second in a series of videos where I’m discussing what Marcus Sheridan (aka @TheSalesLion) calls the “Big 5” in his book, They Ask, You Answer. The Big 5 are the five most important topics/subjects you should be addressing in your content marketing efforts. Last week, we covered Price. This week, it’s all about addressing PROBLEMS.
Next to price, problems are the most commonly searched/asked questions. If you’re not addressing the problems facing your industry, someone else will.
Make a list of all the problems you know exist in your market – they could be related to the industry as a whole, to a specific niche within the industry, or even problems related to YOUR product or service that may mean it’s not a fit for some people/companies/situations. Be transparent. Be honest. People will trust you more.
